School of Dragons™ Fires Up Facebook for Cross-Platform Social Gameplay

The millions of users playing this How to Train Your Dragon-based browser game can now immerse themselves on the Facebook platform.

Torrance, CA (October 31, 2013) - Leading game developer JumpStart® has announced the launch of the School of Dragons massively multiplayer online role-playing game MMORPG on Facebook.com, giving the game’s millions of users a social, cross-platform way to engage in an immersive How to Train Your Dragon gaming world.

School of Dragons is a 3D educational MMORPG based on DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon franchise, and it gives fans of the franchise an interactive, virtual space to immerse themselves in a land filled with the characters they know and love, along with millions of other players in the game. The game was first launched free to play on all web browsers in July 2013, and now online users can access the game through one of the most prominent social media platforms in existence — Facebook.

“We want to continue making School of Dragons bigger and better — the game evolves every two weeks, and we integrate storylines from the most current season of the animated television series. There are also plans to incorporate more of the future movie sequel,” said David Lord, CEO of JumpStart. “This launch is only one piece of a series of updates and platforms with which we plan to extend the School of Dragons brand. School of Dragons is a stunningly interactive and immersive game, and it will only continue to grow.”

The current features in School of Dragons include live MMO gameplay, intense social interactions with friend lists and exclusive Viking clans, detailed story quests, and thorough educational quests based on The Next Generation Science Standards. Also, the game fully integrates themes from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise by letting players create and customize their own avatars, adopt and train their own dragon, and create their own community within the School of Dragons and the Island of Berk.

School of Dragons is available free to play on all web browsers, and it is now available on the online web version of Facebook. A mobile game version of School of Dragons will be available in the near future.

Assets are available upon request.
