1. Hypothesis

This is a statement consisting of some observations without being backed by experimental evidence.

2. Theory

This is a statement consisting of one or more observations that are supported by plenty of experimental evidence. A theory can be modified if new data is discovered.

3. Law

This is a scientific statement that has been experimentally proven over and over again. A law usually stands the test of time and is resistant to change.

4. Model

This is a scientific statement that has been validated to a certain extent by experimentation but can be accurately proved only within limits. A scientific model may not be replicated in all environments or situations.
